On April 18, 2025, the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Career Development Center successfully held the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Career Fair 2025, bringing together students, alumni, employers, and partners for a day full of networking, exploration, and new opportunities.

The event officially began with welcoming remarks from Âé¶¹´«Ã½ President Timothy O'Connor, who greeted the guests and expressed appreciation to everyone who helped organize the fair.

Following the president, Bermet Tursunkulova, Director of the Development Office, addressed the audience and shared an important note: this year, the Career Development Center secured $16,500 in sponsorship funding, a new milestone for the university. The remaining funds from organizing the Career Fair, totaling approximately $11,000, will be redirected to the Alumni Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships for students. She expressed her gratitude to Ulukbek Visid uulu, Career Development Officer, for his dedication and contribution to reaching this achievement.

The fair featured various interactive and engaging activities to help students gain real-world experience and connect with potential employers. Apart from networking opportunities, there were also competitive activities such as:

  • Networking Contest – Students challenged themselves in realistic sales scenarios, demonstrating communication and negotiation skills.
  • Speed Dating Contest – A dynamic activity where students can meet Âé¶¹´«Ã½ alumni and professionals, exchange ideas, and build meaningful connections.
  • Interactive Sponsor Games—Sponsors organized fun and challenging games that gave participants a chance to win exciting prizes while showcasing their creativity and problem-solving abilities.

This year the contest prize pool is over $2,000 in Prizes Up for Grabs! Throughout the day, students visited company booths set up on campus, where they learned about different industries, internship and job opportunities, and company cultures.

During the Career Fair Week a two-day Career Master Class led byÌý Nargiza Abdubalieva (BA’13) engaged 32 participants. Guest lectures by Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Development Officer Altynai Toktosun kyzy (ICP’13) and data analyst at Artsight (US-based startup) Mirbek Toktogaraev ??? attracted 50 attendees. We also thank our speed dating alumni-mentors: Akjibek Beishebaeva (JOUR’12), Adinay Kasymbekova (ES’14), Farukh Farkhatov (SFW’24) and partner organization representatives Almaz Chanachev (Head of EPAM Systems’ Office in Kyrgyzstan) and Dastan Asylbekov (Executive at chANGELS). The Career Fair itself welcomed around 500 participants.

In total 27 Âé¶¹´«Ã½ alumni participated as mentors and representatives of partner organizations. The Career Development Center continues to foster strong connections between alumni and students.
